Just put a small bowl under the old filter to catch several ounces of water and twist the old filter counterclockwise a quarter turn. The water from the feed line automatically shuts off so you don't have to turn the water off at the valve. Twist on the new filter and turn on the hot water dispenser for about a minute or so to bleed out the air. It couldn't be more simple!! It's just like they say in the instructions. I finally found something that works like the manufacturer says it should.

We have the igloo 5 gallon bright orange water dispenser and wanted to add a cup dispenser for the kids at soccer games. The cup dispenser comes in black, which is better at hiding dirt. The lid for the cup dispenser has a screw on type lock, but it isn't really secure so be careful you don't end up dumping out all the cups. The bottom end has a good grip on the igloo paper cone cups (4oz). The cup size is really too small for thirsty adults, but kids don't seem to mind refilling the fragile wet paper cones more than once. You can put inexpensive dixie cups in the dispenser which I think is better if they want to set the cup down, but again you can't use bigger cups because the bottom restricts the size and forces you to squish the cup too much to get it out.

Bought the dispenser directly from igloo, but it is more expensive than on Amazon (Amazon was out of stock when I ordered).

Igloo puts a big 3 language sticker on the dispenser that had been put on crooked. Taking the sticker off was easy, but the sticky residue it left behind was a pain to clean off.

The best feature of the dispenser is the ability to put it inside the 5 gallon water dispenser and still be able to put the lid on. Makes for better storage and keeps the cups from getting dusty. Good design.

I got this at K-mart for a much cheaper price, and I'm thrilled with it. I used to have water delivered for use on a rented cooler, and let me tell you, never again. Customer service was awful, hidden charges, bottle deposits, etc. I'm much happier having my own unit and refilling my own bottles. It ends up being so much cheaper, too. I haven't had any problems with the unit--no leaks, the hot water is hot enough, and the cold water is *almost* cold enough, which works for me since I can add a couple ice cubes and go my merry way. I flushed it out pretty well when I bought it, and I haven't had an issue with funky odors or taste. I like the way you have to press down from above to dispense instead of having handles that stick out the front--I have fewer floods from my toddler playing with it because it's harder for her to manage. The hot water safety button is a great feature. I've recommended this to friends. I can't comment on customer service or repairs since my unit has worked perfectly from day one, and fingers crossed it stays that way!

I have had this for a couple weeks now, it came really fast 2 or 3 days I think, the other primo cooler had really good reviews which is why I got this one, and liked that the controls were on top of the cooler bc they were more out of reach for toddlers, and it looks nice. Now the bad, it is noisy whenever the heater compressor is running (which is about every 10-20min it seems) there is a annoying rattling that I can hear in the next room for about a minute at a time, but it is quite distracting. Also the water has been getting a "rubber" like taste. I have cleaned it out well as they reccommended and it helped some, seems to be getting better over time. I have called Primo 1-800# and you get a real person right away who is willing to go over her checklist of solutions to these problems, they reccommended I unplug it overnight and call if the noise doesnt get better but that it is normal for the compressor to be heard.

Primo was very quick about shipping. I recieved my cooler in 4 days. The cooler is not heavy; easy to unpack. I was able to unload the cooler and set up quickly without any help. The cooler will fit in to any decor. It really has a nice sleek look. I was surprised to read the review of a noisy cooler. My cooler runs very quietly. Other than when we first started it up, we don't hear the compressor, no rattles. We have ours set up in the kitchen on a good thick vinyl floor. Perhaps there is enough cushion to keep any vibrations to a minimum. The safety button for the hot water is definitely a plus. Especially if you have small children. The hot water comes out nice & hot; makes a great & quick cup of tea or hot cocoa. I have to admit, I wish the cold water was colder. Using a good pH meter with temp guage, we are getting water temps of 58 - 60 degrees. Perhaps that is standard but I like my cold water colder. Still its nice to have a head start on a nice cold glass of lemonade. Dispense water, add lemonade mix or squeezed lemons...and throw in a few ice cubes. I didn't notice right a way, but a day after set up, I discovered my Primo cooler has a defect along the front right side. There is a slight gap where the right side does not line up & hook up with the front panel. The other/left side fits nice and snug to the front panel. I'm sure I could send it back, but I just don't have the time right now to pack & ship. Besides it works fine and I don't believe this causes any problems other than cosmetic appearance. Also, I enjoy Primo water and found it can be purchased at our K-mart at about $13 for water in the special primo jug.

I bought this water filter purifier and wanted it to be great. The water in my area does not taste good. It has a lot of chlorine in it. This purifier has a lengthy set up. The directions are not precise. I rinsed and cleaned each part of the unit. I rinsed the filter as described. I also soaked the ceramic filter for the prescribed time and boiled the rocks and ran a few gallons through the purifier as instructed before I drank any. I followed the directions as written and worked out what was not written. The water did not taste good to me. It was better than what comes out of the tap, but still not what I would call good tasting water. I removed the rock filter. Thoroughly rinsed the unit out again and rinsed the other filter that hangs in the lower tank as well. I drained the tanks again and put more water through it. Some improvement, but still not great tasting water. Although the directions say you can fill the bottom unit with three gallons and the top one with one gallon, when I do, it overflows and it leaks in drips down the sides of the dispenser. I hate returning things and really would hate to have to do that with this one, but so far, not so good. I don't see what else I can do. Maybe the water in my area is just too much for this purifier. It most likely will go back.

I purchased the Zen Water Filtration system about two weeks. I had been using a faucet based Pur filter, which kept leaking as splashing water everywhere. I choose this type of system because of the alkaline aspects of it. Water with Alkaline provides antioxidants, and helps to raise the pH levels, which is good for a lot of health conditions.

The Zen Water system arrived within a few days of ordering it. My order included both the 4 gallon dispenser and countertop models.

I was able to set the countertop model up with about 20 minutes, after reading the cryptic documentation. However, a picture is worth a thousand words, and based on the picture, I was able to set it up.

When I opened the box, I was surprised to discover that both items were in the same box, so I had to sort through the contents very carefully.

Needless to say, it is now sitting on my countertop. It took about 20 minutes before I could see some water coming into the dispensing chamber. When it was about 1 quarter full, I tried tasting the water, and I have to admit, I was not impressed. However, I waited until the chamber was completely full, and it tasted very good. The water has a very smooth taste and I don't taste any powder or residue from going through the filtration process or that I experienced using the Pur water filter.

I tried comparing the water taste with water from several other systems: from my faucet, Brita and Pur water filters. The Zen Water system tasted significantly different. The water from my faucet made me think that I was drinking pure chlorine, the water from the Brita and Pur filter tastes like there was chauky it, but the water from the Zen Water Filtration system had no odor, and was very easy to drink.

I intend on buying a few stainless steel water bottles so that I can replace the Brita filter that I was using at work.

I compared this water filter with the Santevia system, which cost $200. They both use the same filtering methodology. The Santevia does mention that it is BPA free (for those who don't know, that means that the plastic will not bleed into your drinking water, which occurs when using plastic bottles). I have compared the taste of the Santevia with the Zen filter and the tastes are very similar. The overall construction of the parts seems relatively the same. So for me it made more sense to purchase this model.

This waterer holds a lot of water = 1.5 gallons! Very easy to use. I have 6 little dogs and once this is filled, it doesn't run out for about a week. What I like is that the bottom is gray so it doesn't look dirty like other ones that are lighter in color. I had previously used another similar gadget where you screw in a 2 liter bottle but once the water started coming down the pressure would make the bottle "dent in" and this does NOT do that. I have the matching food dispenser and it looks very nice. Again that holds about a weeks worth of food for my 6 little chihuahua sized dogs.

This waterer has a smooth surface on the entire surface in which the water comes in contact. VERY easiy to clean, no rough surface, ALL areas are accessable by hand (for cleaning). Has valve in cap so when it's inverted onto the bowl it may be then be opened AFTER the water jug is inverted. Anti-microbal plastic bowl. Smaller 2.5 gallon size most practical, the jug snaps securely into the base also.

The bottle stays quite securely in the base, and the walls of the base are high enough that my dogs generally don't spill the water out of it. Of course the entire unit can be tipped over, but overall it's quite sturdy and stays upright unless pushed over quite hard (e.g., when one of my dogs has a seizure).

What I like best about the unit is it's easy to fill in a regular sink, e.g., a not-deep bathroom sink. It appears the manufacturer sized the water container intentionally for this, as it's pretty nearly a perfect fit in my sink to fill.

It has a wide opening so looks like it will be easy to clean if/when I need to (I haven't yet). The water is controlled in coming out by a separate little cap/hole in the lid. With that open and the container in place on the base, the water trickles out into the water dish portion.

The cap is very secure, but sometimes it's a bit hard to get it aligned so it screws on tightly.

Overall, I'm very happy with these units. I've bought several of them for my rather large dogs.

There was no indication on their website, so I called their customer service line and spoke directly with a representative who told me that they were not BPA free. This is especially troubling since the bottles are cleaned and reused, which according to many studies, increases the potential chemicals that can be leeched into the water.

Our small office went through quite a few "budget" models (that shall not be named) before we stumbled upon Primo. We were skeptical at first because the price is so low compared to units of comparable feature-set. However, we called Primo directly and they said that they stood behind their product and would guarantee the quality. I can say, after using the product for 3 months that it is fantastic. It looks good, is solidly built, VERY quiet, and has all the features we wanted: cold and hot water, switches to turn the cold and hot water off (saves energy, drip tray etc.

The only "complaint" we might have is that the water isn't ice cold and the hot water isn't boiling hot. However, the water is quite cold and the hot water is hot enough to make herbal tea. Good enough.

I purchased this as a replacement for a PUR pitcher that did not remove all the taste from my heavily treated city water. The good news is that this pitcher makes great tasting water. It really does taste as good as bottled water, like the advertising says. The bad news is that the pitcher itself is an ergonomic disaster. For starters, it is too tall to fit in my refrigerator. Second, the reservoirs are not the same size, so one must fill the top part a couple of times to get a full pitcher. It is also too easy to spill unfiltered water down the spout to the filtered water. It just does not work very well, which is really a bummer as the filter itself does an outstanding job. Back to the drawing board Zerowater!

Most of us have had water filtration systems; either the under sink, mounts to faucet, or most commmonly, the filter-in-pitcher system. I saw this on a late night infomercial and was hooked. I will keep this review short and sweet:

Pluses: Nice attractive color, Spigot and valve ON the pitcher so no need to remove the pitcher from the fridge everytime you want some water, Zero-water meter is included (and can be stored IN the pitcher)

Minuses: Capacity could be greater. Filter is so massive that you go through the filtered water QUICKLY, especially if you have a larger family;
AND...the #1 drawback: This pitcher filters VERY SLOWLY. I am used to other Brita-type units and this is the slowest I've ever seen. Often when the pitcher is over half-full, and I fill the top reservoir, it doesn't drain completely after 3-4 HOURS. I have to keep a 1/2 gallon bottle in the refrigerator filled with cold filtered water since this filters so slowly.

So, great concept, water is fantastic, but pitcher filters way too slowly if you have a family larger than 2-3.

This is an excellent product that does EXACTLY what it says it will do. However, just because it does remove so many contaminants doesn't necessarily mean your water's going to taste awesome. There are other factors that go into the taste of water. For instance, I find that Poland Springs water registers about 20-25 on the meter and personally it tastes better to me than my local tap water once it's been run through this filter and registers 0.

With that said, my tap water definitely tastes much better than it does at its natural reading of about 250! It really is hard to drink when it's unfiltered, but when it's filtered it's a pleasure to drink. Not perfect according to my personal taste, but definitely perfectly drinkable.

I wanted to address a few points others have made:

1. The time it takes to filter - yes, it does take awhile to filter. To fill the bottle, you have to fill the top part TWICE and let it filter through. I timed it tonight and it takes about 10-12 minutes to filter one round. So to fill the bottle would take between 20-25 minutes total. Well, once you know this - you can usually plan around it. I fill the top once and usually just let it sit while go off and do other things. I try to remember to come back anytime after about 15 minutes and fill it again.

Also, keep in mind that the reason it does take so long is because it's doing such a thorough job of filtering your water! If it didn't take as long it wouldn't be getting your water so clean.

2. One reviewer complained that after about 4 weeks his water began to taste fishy. He also said he didn't want to change the filter when the TDS meter read 6. He said he was willing to let it go to 150. But the ZeroWater documentation that comes with the filter specifically states that if you don't change it at just about 6, that the water will begin to taste funny. I called them and asked why and they told me that because at 6 - the filter is so full of contaminants that it just starts making newly filtered water taste funny. Because at that point the water is not only going through the filter, but it's also going through all the contaminants in the filter!

Makes sense. So all the reports you've read about water tasting funny - are true. But that's what happens when you use the filter too long. I too thought I wouldn't mind the TDS (total dissolved solids) level going higher than 6. Because my favorite water - Poland Springs was around 25. So I thought I could go to 25. But sure enough the water started tasting ever so slightly funny at 6. I actually let it go to 9 but by that time it really didn't taste good so I changed the filter. It didn't taste fishy as some have reported, but it definitely tasted a little funky. The company says that what happens after a TDS level of 6 is reached will vary from water system to water system. For me it might taste funky - while for someone else it might taste fishy. It all depends on what's in your water system to start with - and the combination of contaminants that are trapped in the filter.

The good news was that by that point I had already used the filter for about 5 weeks! So that came in at about 60% of what I would have paid for bottled water! So it did save a little money! But the best part is - no more carrying heavy cartons of water around! And no more having a thousand little bottles to throw out each week!

By the way when you read some of the reviews that state the filter didn't last very long - that doesn't really tell you anything unless you know several factors. One, you'd have to know how many people were drinking from it and how much they used. Two, you'd have to know what the TDS level of the water they're filtering is. If they tell you the filter only lasted 2 weeks and it's feeding four people and their TDS level is 400, then they're actually getting really good mileage out of it!

So for your info, my review covers the use of just one person who consumes 1 full Zerowater container a day. And the TDS level of the water I'm filtering is about 250. So if you know the TDS of your water, and how much you would consume, you can compare. If yours is 125 - then you could expect to get twice as much use out of each filter.

3. Size of the container and filtering time. The container holds about half a gallon of water. For one person this should be enough for the whole day. For two people or more it seems it would start to be a bit of a hassle keeping it filled. But for one person it's fine.

One reviewer complained that the size of the filter itself was too big and displaces too much water in the container - causing it not to hold as much water as it could. Well, all that is true. Obviously, this is a 3 unit water dispenser as said. Hot, room temperature, and cold. I am very disappointed with this product. The cold water unit isn't cold enough. I gotta have my water icy cold when I drink it. The hot water unit is perfectly hot. Great for coffee, tea, cup noodles ETC...

Also, there are no temperature settings. So you can't control how cold or hot you want your water to be. It has a dual on/off switch for the hot and cold unit. There are no hot and cold sign labels. Instead, they are colored in with erasable ink. Red for hot, light blue for room temperature, and dark blue for cold. Both of them worn out for the hot and cold. I had to create my own sign labels to replace the worn out ones. The water has a plastic taste at first because the water dispenser was new. As said in the instruction manual, you will have to rinse it out a few times to get that nasty plastic stuff out from the tubes and pipes.

No, I would not recommend this product to a friend. Don't waste your money on this cheap water dispenser. You will get what you pay for. Go for something more advanced and expensive.

I find this water station to be QUITE difficult to fill and refill -- first, you have to remove the entire white jug, turn it over, unscrew a cap, fill it, then turn it back over, slide it into the black plastic base, and then swivel the whole thing to "lock" it into place. The first few times I did it, water got everywhere, because there's a dispensing spout on the bottom that sprays water if you don't get the jug in place exactly right. I've kind of got the hang of it now, but it's still a chore I hate doing (and one I'll only do if I'm about to change my clothes anyway!) ;-)

What I really don't understand is why the top of the water station unscrews -- it makes it seem as though you can conveniently fill it from the top (while it sits in its stand) -- but you can't. The black top cap just unscrews for no apparent reason...!? I think this is an odd design point.

That being said, my dog LOVES drinking out of this thing, and will pick it every time over an ordinary dish. The (optional) filter I have in it obviously does improve the taste of the water, even to a dog! But I would not recommend this product due to the difficulty I've had filling it. Also, the base is made of somewhat flimsy plastic -- I feel like it's just a matter of time until it cracks or breaks during the filling process.

I was searching in stores and on Amazon for a simple waterer for my dogs for months! Finally I came across this one and it had all the features I wanted. The stainless steel bowl is definitely the healthiest way to go, especially since the bowl sits for a while before refilling the reservoir. The reservoir itself is very easy to fill and to clean, unlike a lot of others. Also is comes with an OPTIONAL filter, which is perfect for me. Right now I live in an area with poor water, so I am using the filters. But if I do move to an area that has better water, I'd love to save the money and not use the filters. I didn't want a "fountain" because they make noise and my Sheltie barks at EVERYTHING, so I just wanted a simple, easy-to-use and sanitary waterer.

Now that I've set it up and my dogs are happily using it, I absolutely love it. Like described, the bowl easily pops out for cleaning (dish washer safe) and the reservoir itself is easy to clean and super easy to fill (no spills at all). My ONLY regret is that I didn't get the large size (I have one 20lbs dog and one 47lbs dog), but the medium is still much better than just the old bowl I used before. My first thought was that I would eventually replace the medium with a large, but it's made out of good materials and I think it will last a while. More likely I will buy a large for indoors and move the medium one outside. It's really that great! If you want a simple, healthy waterer this is the one for you!

My elderly (17+) cat has become so fastidious and unpredictable in his water habits that I thought there was little chance he would use the PetSafe Healthy Pet Water Station. In order to get a definitive answer, I set up video surveillance to record any time there was activity near the water station. I set it up in a location where there is usually a small bowl of water (I keep more than one around the house).

He ignored it completely the first couple of days, and then started walking over to check it out. That went on for a day or two before he actually drank from it. Last night, he used it six times. Of course, he could go back to ignoring it next week.

The PetSafe Healthy Pet Water Station (medium) is a good practical design. I live in an area with very hard water; the removable stainless steel bowl will make it much easier to clean off the mineral deposit ring that forms every few weeks. I used a Petmate Fresh Flow for years; removing mineral deposits from the bowl and ramp without scratching the plastic was tedious, time-consuming job (multiple applications of Lime Away).

Minor issues: The size and shape of the bowl in relation to the reservoir bottle can make it a tight fit for cats because their foreheads have to get so close to the water. My cat does not seem bothered by this on the medium size, but might have a problem with the small size. I think the filters may be a little pricy; since the water I'm using has already been through a PUR filter, I may forego replacing the filter when the time comes.

Follow-up [a few weeks later]: Mr. Cat continues to use the PetSafe Healthy Pet Water Station, but only if I remove and rinse out the removable stainless steel bowl every 24-48 hours. I kept the video surveillance up for a couple of weeks after the original review and noted that, as time passed, he became increasingly reluctant to use the Water Station and would eventually just ignore it. I try to rinse it out every night just before going to bed; this minimizes the chances of an urgent 3 AM discussion on the water bowl situation.

Great when it works, but expensive and difficult to repair. I bought the best tank and dispenser Insinkerator sold in mid 2005 for $571. Tank died just after the one-year warranty expired. Insinkerator discounted a new better stainless steel tank to me for $80 which frustrated the hell out of me. Then after 3 years the hot water dispenser (handle) would no longer turn off. Insinkerator customer support told me it is past the one-year warranty and not repairable (newer models have a 3 or 5 year warranty). They told me to spend $200-300 on a new facucet (dispenser). I've been unable to dismantle it and repair whatever springs or washers are broken. Read reviews for other 1100's and you'll see lots of dissatisfied people.

We have owned this product for just over three years and had been happy with the dispenser until recently. Repair parts are not available. Even something as simple as a leaky fitting means that you have to buy a whole new assembly.

We had such a leaky fitting and had to replace the entire tank assembly. Fortunately, this happened while still under warranty. More recently, the spacer under the cold water lever wore to the point that it would no longer stay in the detent. The spacer is not available, nor is the cold water cartridge. Our only option is to replace the entire faucet assembly at a cost of $285 (price quoted from the mfgr's parts dept.).

My recommendation is to look for a unit that has repair parts available, either from the manufacturer or aftermarket.

If you listen to InSinkErator you will end up purchasing a new unit if not under warranty. The unit is easily fixed see below my instructions. I did pass this on to thier Customer Service hopefully they will review it and publish the instructions for everyone. It takes no parts just minor disassembling and cleaning.

You can easily repair the faucet handle sticking problem from the top.
1.) turn off water - actually you could leave on
2.) using a 3/4 inch open end wrench to remove small retaining cap holding handles in faucet. If you look close you will notice flat sections on cap. Be carefull not to mar finish.
3.) Then pop off handle pivot cap with a small flat screwdriver exposing the stuck plunger. There is hex cap that hold plunger assembly in but you would need a very thin wall socket to remove entire plunger assembly.
4.) Clean as much green goo from plunger area with paper towels and a tooth-pic.
5.) Fill with WD40 cover entire plunger leave soaking over night. (don't use solvents!)
6.) This should loosen remaing debris. Also work plunger up and down, a 1/4 inch extension works good for this.
7. ) reassemble and you should be as good as new.
In-Sink-Erator only wants to sell a new faucet they don't offer and rebuild kit even though the faucet can be repair from top without removing from sink. My faucet works like new after I was done I added vasoline over plunger area hopefully to keep debris out.

You'd think with all the engineering capabilities that Franke has at their disposal, they coud have figured out how to make a dispenser in which the faucet was not open to the tank--they use it as a pressure valve since you can actually turn up the heat to the point that water boils in the tank. Why they don't have a regulator built in to keep that from happening and build in a different pressure valve is beyond me. As a result, our Little Butler is constantly dripping or sputtering. I've called Franke and they say, "You've got the water too hot." NOT. If I turn it down to where it doesn't drip, it's too cold to make tea. Try another brand. The Little Butler uses an inherently flawed approach. Check out the InSinkerator H-Wave or others in that series. I'm going to have to dump my Little Butler as it has become a pain in the butler to listen to the drip, drip, drip...

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT! I have been using the ZeroWater filters and pitcher for about a year now and I am VERY pleased with the product! I have an incredibly sensitive stomach and can not drink most tap water, including the water where I live, I have previously tried all the other filter pitcher brands and still could not drink the water. I had resorted to buying bottled spring water and it had to be specific brands or I could not drink it either. Then I heard about the ZeroWater filtration system, what a blessing!!! Now I can drink tap water!!! Not only that, but when I travel I take it with me and have been able to drink water everywhere including places where I could not even drink a single SIP before! Yes, the filters are a bit expensive, but it sure beats the cost of bottled water and definitely beats not being able to drink tap water! For me I find I need to replace the filter once every 4 months, but it varies depending on the water you are filtering and how much you have to filter in a day. All in all it's well worth the expense.

Having lugged 5-gallon water bottles for many years, the ZeroWater system has been a Godsend. We use the larger ZeroWater 2-part container on top of the same watercooler that used the large 5-gallon bottles. That water tastes great and is crystal-clear. My only complaint is the cost of the filters. Brookstone sold the 4-pak for $29.99 last year, but it's up to $52.99 now which is only a bit cheaper than Home Depot's $60.00 price. If it weren't for that high cost, I would have rated the water filtration system 5 stars.

I was having the problems to a higher extreme than most of you complaining about replacemnet cost. My filters last only about six days, my water meas 781 to 731 depending on the day (I hae no idea why). If you go to the site or read your manual they tell you that if you are using an excessive amount of filters call them to see how they can help. When I did they told me they sold the filters in sets of 16 for $159.99, which break down to about $10 a filter. Which saves you quite a bit. So if you are feeling that the replacement cost is to much call the 1800 number in your manual thats what I did. That cost includes shipping. It's like buying two and getting a filter free for every two you buy.

our water filter was in the basement until recently and we had this lying around so we shlepped water from the basement up to the kitchen for 18 months and the spigot never wore out (the most important part of this item, imho).

however, the handle did finally break from so much usage but I still give it five stars because it was easy to create a workaround; basically, take some water resistant nylon rope that is about the same diameter of the attachment holes and thread it through with a knot on each end. we used it with the rope handle for the last three months with no problems.

I was a bit skeptical at paying $22 for a plastic bottle, even if it is BPA-free, but hoped that the product itself would be worth it. Unfortunately, the product is of poor quality and extremely unsatisfactory. I ordered two of these bottles to use with our brand new bottom-loading water cooler.

The plastic that these bottles are made of is very thin; I remarked to my husband that we'd better be careful never to drop one of these full, as I'm sure it would shatter the plastic. Also, the top of the bottle is shaped differently than a standard 5 gallon water bottle, I suppose due to the screw cap (as opposed to standard compression cap), but this results in it not working for water cooler fittings which are designed for the standard shape. Due to the different shape of the top, and the thinness of the plastic, when our cooler pressurizes the bottle, in order to pull the water into the reservoir, the bottle cannot withstand the pressure, and the fitting pops off the top of the bottle. (As an aside, both of the bottles have bubbles in the plastic near the top lip, where the plastic was poured, where the plastic is even thinner. This defect does not appear to affect the functioning of the bottle, but I think it may shorten the overall life of the bottle.)

I purchased two standard bottles for our cooler, and have not had any problems since. I regret not being able to choose a high-quality BPA-free plastic, for a reasonable price, but it just doesn't seem to be available at this time. These Bluewave bottles are on their way back to Amazon!

Very noisy!! pretty slow before water can get cold. Very cheap plastic piece, doubt it can last for a year or two even. Very poor quality, and almost can NOT hold a 5-gallon bottle. Never support such trashy product.

This is like the reviewer before me pointed out, crap. It takes 2 hours to cool water down and then its only about a glass full. If you have a friend over they are getting room temp water. There has been a nasty taste from the beginning. I tried flushing with white vinegar and water, nothing will get the nasty taste out. I wish I would have spent some extra money and got a different unit. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra bit of money to get something usable.

Absolute crap. Similar to the other review, my unit also malfunctioned a few weeks after purchase. First it wouldn't cool the water so I got room temperature water for a couple of days. I turned it off until the next day. When I turned it back on, I only got 2 ounces of cold water before it started getting warm again. So I call customer service. Says she's gonna mail me some voucher or something so I can exchange it. Guess what? I never got it. I turned it off again and it seemed to be working okay for a couple of days(apparently can only handle a few days' service at a time). Today after coming off the treadmill parched and ready to gulp a big glass of cold water, I managed to swallow about half of the cup which was full of hot acid. That's how bad the water tasted. Stupid thing now overheated making the water in the bottle itself hot. So I call again today, waited on the line for 20 minutes before leaving an irrate message (probably why they haven't called back) and am now gonna have to eat the money I shelled out for the acid machine. If you're reading this....stay away from this company! I am now forced to rent a commercial grade unit from my water delivery service so that I don't have to deal with this piece of junk or the brainless cust. service people.

There is nothing too flashy about this dispenser, but it does exactly what it is supposed to do. I have been using it for about a month now, with no cracks or leaks from the dispenser or tap. It functions nicely as a kombucha continous brewing station. My only complaint is not with the product itself, but rather with the fact that Amazon sent me two of them when I only ordered one, and trying to be honest and return the extra one was a bit of an ordeal. Other than that, I am very pleased.

This was a great switch from a water cooler to a energy free dispenser. The water is cooler than the ambient air and just right. I'm not one for cold water. The only trouble I had with this is the spout. Every time I close the valve I have to make sure it snaps closed a hard as it can. If it closes slow the spout has a slow drip. Closing it fast seats the valve and seals it completely.

I've never written a review before, but feel its necessary as I did not heed the warnings of others in their reviews of this product. The good news is that this is a beautiful dispenser.. very simple and elegant looking and doesn't take over my tiny kitchen with a loud design. Unfortunately, it leaked. Everywhere. Gallons of water all over my counters and floor when I woke up in the morning. I figured I must have assembled it wrong (not making the bolt tight enough, etc..) but after double checking all that I realized there was a leak in the pot itself. Normally, this wouldn't be an issue, but when I tried to return it, I was informed I couldn't because I waited too long. The product sat in the box for a few weeks as I had to wait for my other one to be picked up from the water service I use... my bad I guess. Lesson learned. The moral of this story is to pay attention to your reviews and make sure you test your purchase out for defects right away, so you can get your money back if it's broken. In the spirit of making lemonade out of my lemons, I may just convert it into a planter since it was so pretty.

I love these caps! I use to try to flip a 5 gallon jug of water over as quick as I could to set it on our water dispenser but never quick enough. I would waste so much water and would have to then mop up the mess that is all over the wall and floor from the water that spills and flys everywhere from spilling out. I just wish that they snapped on tighter. Nonetheless, very worth the price!

I bought this water dispenser because of the price. However, I expected more for 89 bucks plus shipping. Anyways, here are the good the bad and the ugly of this product...
THE GOOD..
&hot water is hot enough to enjoy coffee, but not scolding hot that will give you 3rd degree burns. However, if you like your cofee boiling hot, then this is not a plus for you.
&Light, can carry with one hand (But with lightness comes warm water).

THE BAD
& too short.. the water dispenser is at my waist level and I'm not really that tall. I am an average 5'11 guy. if you are a midgit, however you'll enjoy this

THE UGLY
& Cold water is not cold at all (but is not room temperature either). I did not measure temperature, but I would say that if you get a room temperatura glass of water and put it in the ref for 15 or 20 minutes, you'll get the same result.
& Water runs soooooo slowly. it takes about 14 seconds to fill a medium size glass of water. 14 seconds doesn't sound like much, but start your chronometer and wait 14 seconds, thats how long you'll wait to fill your glass and if your glass is wide and cant be put in the holder, you'll have to bend over and hold it for 14 seconds everytime you have to fill your glass.

All in all, it works, and this beats drinking room temperature water or having to fill a jar to get cold water all the time (even thou water in a jar in the ref, is way colder) so I'll keep it just because I dont want to go to the hassle of returning it, but if I had known I was going to get this piece of poop, I would pay the extra 30 dlls for a much better one.

The cooler seemed to work ok, would take a long time to cool, didn't time it because that wasn't an issue with me. Used the hot water once, took 3 minutes to heat up. I usually put the water in the microwave and heat it that way, much faster. My problem with this cooler is the slow speed it dispensed water, very slow. The manual or on the box said something like .1 gallons per hour! I could see dying of thirst using this cooler, I live in a desert, can't wait that long for a cup of water.

I was told that this unit was far superior to the Insinkerator that I was replacing after 10 years of great service. Not true.
The delivery of the water is uneven, you never know when it will dispense. When it builds up steam in the unit, it just starts dripping to relieve the pressure. There must be a better way, as I didn't have to put up with the dripping with my Insinkerator. I can't wait to replace it and it would be gone now, if I hadn't paid so much for it. It just feels flimsy, sorry it's not that hot.

We studied the bottled water options and decided we really didn't want to heft a 5 gallon bottle off the floor, invert it, and shove it into the usual bottled water dispenser - - - and then get to look at the thing gurgling away as it gets used. One of the few, discrete full feature dispensers is the Primo. Extremely easy to load, makes a very quiet "hummm" (don't put it in the bedroom) and does everything we want it to do. Dispenser spouts are high enough and leave enough room for re-filling typical plastic carry-around water bottles, a pitcher for kitchen use, etc. The unit switches to a flashing red signal when the bottle is too low for the unit to dispense - - but still holds about 2 quarts in the bottle (not a real waste since we then fill other stuff with the remainder). Comes with a $5 rebate for a Primo full water bottle and you'll need to buy one other - - we bought an empty one at WalMart and fill them from the many dispensers that are around the town now - - $1.50 for 5 gallons.

I just got this water dispenser so I can't give a whole lot of info, but I did read a lot of reviews before purchasing it and the biggest complaint was the taste of the water. I was really worried that the same would happen with mine but very happy to say that the water taste just fine. I did set the tubes out for a few hours and washed the tube that goes into the water with dawn dish soap really well. Also the machine for now is really quit no problem with noise. I hope this helps and I will update this later if I find any problems with the unit.

A product that makes me want to change my "Unhappy" nick! It doesn't apply here.

Easy to set up, easy to use and cleanup. Has a setting for brewing a small pot (thank god I cant drink 12 cups every day) when needed. Programmable for having the coffee ready when you are.

1) Pouring the water in the top if you use the carafe isn't as easy as it could be to prevent spills. I have simplely dedicated a small kitchen funnel to the task. Ten times easier now.

2) I have to start buying better coffee! It makes coffee correctly. I can now tell the difference between coffees. My old Mr Coffee produced the same old black sludge no matter what you put in it. I used to avoid coffee because my coffee maker produced bad coffee and I never liked the too dark roasted stuff Starbuck$ is serving up. On vacation in Hawaii I took a tour of Greenwell Farms Coffee Plantation and learned I like GOOD coffee. (Meduim roast Kona coffee FTW! get the 100% Kona wherever you get it, avoid anything that is a "blend" its 90% non Kona and not very good. Who wants a cup of 90% bad coffee mixed with 10% good?) My old coffee maker couldn't brew it right and this one does. I'm not a coffee snob, I don't know what the temperature of the water is, I don't roast and grind my own beans(might get a grinder though now):) I'm not going to spend the time to make it is a vacuum press or fool around with a cemex, but I know that better coffee made in a good maker is distinctly better. This coffee maker makes better coffee than the 3 others I have had (all super discount since I didn't "like" coffee)

I know if I used a french press or some other fussy method and did the special coffee rain dance "coffee people" say it would be even better. But I want to have my coffee ready at the time I set. I don't want to have to stand there and fool with it, just pour and enjoy. Plus I now have a hot water dispenser I've always wanted. That works well too. I think I'm gonna go pour another cup...

My last old Cuisinart bit the dust so I was in the market for a new one. I had also been in the market for a water kettle but really did not like the idea of having one more appliance on my counter top. When I checked out the Cuisinart web site to see what was new I was blown away by the idea of this coffee maker that also dispensed hot water!! I was so excited about it I had it sent overnight.

I have only had it for a day but oh what a wonderful cup of coffee I had this morning and right now I am loving the convenience of having hot water available for my tea drinking!

Pros: Everything!! In perfect working order and I was able to follow the manufacture's instructions on hot water without any problems at all! Best cup of coffee I have had even counting my old Cuisinart!

Cons: Only 1 negative so far. It is awkward pouring water into the coffee maker side and I guess I will need more practice at this to keep from splashing water all over everything.

So far extremely pleased with my purchase!!

Since we don't usually need a full pot of coffee except on weekends -- I typically just grab a Starbucks "Via" instant coffee on the way to work in the morning (a pretty remarkable innovation, by the way) -- I was attracted to the hot water dispenser on this coffee maker. I like it particularly because of its 58-ounce capacity -- meaning that you don't have to keep refilling it if you're just using it once each morning to fill a car mug. My wife prefers tea to coffee, and she loves being able to get a cup of really hot water whenever she likes. (We fill it with spring water, and the results are superb.) I haven't had any problem with the "add water" light, as another reviewer apparently did. I was concerned about squandering energy by keeping a reservoir of water constantly hot, but it doesn't. It keeps only about 13 ounces of water at serving temperature; the rest of the reservoir is unheated. It doesn't take all that much energy to keep 13 ounces of water hot. And if you know you won't be wanting hot water for a while, you can just turn it off with the on/off button. I had expected it to heat water instantly through some kind of coil system -- much like an under-sink unit does -- but not so. As a result, if the unit hasn't been on, there's about a 3-minute wait for the water to reach the right temperature. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I wish the hot water dispenser were programmable in the way the coffee maker is, but it isn't. You have to start it manually. (No - you can't use an outlet timer because the unit has an electronic on/off switch.) I also wish the hot water dispenser had a temperature adjustment (the coffee maker does); the water it dispenses is so hot that I have to wait for several minutes before I can drink any beverage I make with it. Finally, some Cuisinart coffee makers have a strength adjustment but this doesn't. But these are minor quibbles; it's still a great appliance. The coffee maker itself works as well as an automatic drip coffee maker can -- always a function of trial-and-error at the beginning (what kind and how much coffee you use). It uses a cone filter (#4) -- which in my humble opinion always delivers better coffee than the flat filters used in so many other coffee makers -- including a lot of Cuisinart models -- and the water is sprayed onto the coffee by a showerhead array in the reservoir lid. (Tip for review "Me2": Pour water into the coffee maker by putting the lip of the carafe on the rear LEFT corner and pour it in that way. It's a lot easier and you won't spill any.)

This item works great! Easy assembly, easy to use. We have bottled water delivered to our home, but filling pitchers and kettles was always awkward with the dispenser stand. With this pump, we keep a bottle upright and it's easy and convenient. While I had no problems using the pump one-handed, someone with arthritis might have trouble. I had a family member try it out and she didn't think she'd be able to hold a glass in one hand and use the pump with the other. Just something to consider, depending on who will be using it.

After reading reviews about several different pumps, we decided on the Dolphin. The first one we ordered worked so well, we ordered a second one. We use ours with home-delivered 5 gallon water bottles, one for spring water, one for distilled. They fit very well.
We used to turn the bottles upside-down on a stand, but it was always hard to lift them, so we are thrilled with these Dolphin pumps.

This product is great, I love it. It is SO easy to use, it does not store water in the pump so it stays clean, and I could not be happier. If I had purchased it straight from the company which Amazon got it from, I would have paid $10 less, but I know that Amazon keeps my identity safe, and my credit card numbers, so I was willing to spend the extra money. The other site seems legitimate, but it does not have any security seals and so the price difference is the price of your safety. The shipping was slow, but it did make it to me on the last day it was allowed; just took a while to get it out of the warehouse. This was the best investment I have made in a while, it is now very easy to drink water, it is kind of fun, and I can take it almost anywhere because it is small compared to all of the alternatives. I could easily use this camping, it would be a luxury on a camping trip, but right now I have it in my dorm room.

I purchased this dipenser about 2 weeks ago and returned it. This dispenser do not have hot water automaticlly, you would need to press a hot instant buttom to boil it, and it only gives you almost one cup. also if you boil it and not use, it will cool down, you have to reboil, it takes about a min to 3 mins to boil.

Can not recommend this cooler/heater, October 24, 2010

We've had this Vitapur cooler/heater for approximately 1.5 years. And I have had to replace the main circuit board once. My time +$25(Can) for a replacement board. This because we could not find our purchase receipt(we purchased at a local bricks&mortar). The circuit board was full of corrosion.
This past summer the heater stopped working. (the connection to the element appears to be corroded and was making poor contact and now the contact is completely burned off).
The final straw is that the cooler stays on and freezes the water in the reservoir to a solid block of ice.
I would leave the whole thing on the curve tonight for garbage pickup but it's got freon in it so I have to take it to the local hazardous waste disposal.
It is a shame the design & build quality is so poor, the machine is attractive looking and was exactly what we were looking for.

This was exactly what I was looking for -- a functional, simple, and attractive porcelain water dispenser with a basic wooden stand. It all works well and, for the most part, it was simple to assemble. My only complaint was that the holes on the wooden base did not match the holes on the legs, so I had to drill new holes. For me, that was a minor inconvenience, but could be a show-stopper for someone who didn't own a power drill.

I just placed an order for the Clover D7A Hot and Cold Point of Use Water Dispenser in Black.
I called to ask questions before I ordered and the lady I spoke to in Sales was very helpful.
I was confused about the difference between two models and she helped clarify that question.
I also asked about whether or not you need a professional to come install it as mentioned by one of the reviews on their website but found out if we already have the hook ups, then it shouldn't be a problem. When I asked about the instructions being hard to read due to the amount of times it has been copied, she said that if there were any issues with the instructions that they could get customers connected to the vendor.

I've been looking for something like this dispenser to replace the broken one in our breakroom. I was having trouble finding one like it (and even went to Ktown in LA to look for it) and am glad Air-N-Water carry it.
So 5 stars for the customer service thus far and I'll update my review shortly when we get the product.

1st tank cracked and leaked after about 2 years. Second tank had different fittings and the fitting are now leaking (2 more years). New tanks have different fitting agian and I am trying to decide if it is worth replacing the tank or just getting a different brand.

I have had two of these units in the 15 years that we have had our kitchen. The first unit lasted about 9.5 years, the second one lasted only 5.5 years. If I remember correctly, the first one had a stainless metal tank (as I am always taking things apart), this one has a white plastic tank and has apparently been leaking for a couple of years as there was a lot of mineral buildup at the lower electrode where it enters the plastic tank and a lot of internal rusting of the sheet metal tank housing. I was fortunate to see a small puddle under the tank, and upon further observation with a bright light, I could see rust marks on the OUTSIDE of the sheet metal tank! My water is softened, so I do not have any problems at all with hard water.

BEWARE, if you have one of these units, CHECK IT COMPLETELY BEFORE THE WARRANTY IS UP TO BE CERTAIN THERE ARE NO LEAKS WHATSOEVER! A bright light helps, along with removing the front panel, AFTER UNPLUGGING the unit!

UPDATE:
After demanding to speak with a manager at customer service, then another manager, then another one, and after being on the phone for about two hours telling my story ad nauseam, I finally had them ship me, all expenses paid, a brand new unit! I think I had the thing the next evening by FedEx!

I will definately recommend Insinkerator products to my customers in both of my lines of work. This went from a one-star COMPLAINT to a FIVE STAR COMPLIMENT!

The H770 is a small water heater with a dedicated faucet delivering 190F water. Seems like a simple idea that doesn't take rocket science to design. I have had 2 of these units, the first lasted 5 years, the next 4 years and they fail the same way, the tank leaks and creates a mess. Now, I'm looking at a 3rd unit after 9 years of using these products. I have whole home water heaters cost 2x this heater, require $100 professional installation, but lasts over 4-5x longer. Newer models are not drop in replacements either, as there are minute valve position changes, meaning another $100 professional labor cost if I didn't do it myself. Per instructions, it takes about 1 hour for a professional to install, and that includes working is a tight space underneath a kitchen sink. Now, the maker claims that the H770, like any water heater, wears out with time, and that's a given. However, instant hot water is less a necessity than a whole home water heater. Its easier to use an electric thermo pot, is far cheaper and easily serviced or replaced by a consumer and they last for decades. Lastly, a thermo pot can be filled with better filtered or bottle water rather than relying on pure tap water, as the H770 does [there is a filtered water version, but its otherwise a similar apparatus.] If you are aware this product lasts to 5 years and are willing to endure the replacement labor and cost, by all means, otherwise this product cannot be recommended.

Very disappointed. Set this up on my countertop with a towel underneath. Noticed a couple hours later that the towel was completely soaked. Lifted up the base and there was a constant drip coming from the back of the dispenser at the bottom edge. Apparently it hadn't been sealed properly. Wasted water and wasted time waiting for this poorly made product to arrive. Was excited about having an alternative to a ceramic crock, but guess that's the way I'll have to go now. Too bad they are all made in China today, both the stainless and ceramic. Shame.

Although I been purchaseing products for well over decade from Amazon, I never written a review for Amazon before.. till now.
Just an aweful product.
This is a very Cheaply made, badly engineered and aweful quality control for such simple device costing so much for what it is.
As soon as I set this up, it sprung a leak from the spoket that connects to main body of the dispenser.
I tightened the plastic nut that holds the spoket to the stainless steel reservoir as hard as middleaged man can.
The rubber gasket that suppose to prevent leak is not soft enough so it's letting water out about drop per second.
If you happen to bump the spoket accidently, water is leaking everywhere.
Later, I also found another slow leak from the base of reservoir.
The reservoir is made of what looks like thick sheet metal, machine rolled body and stamped in base.
The leak is coming from where the body meets the base.
Stay far away from this product. You been warned.

Get this and drink clean water!

I've been using a zerowater pitcher for about a year. Just got this larger dispenser and couldn't be happier. So much easier than buying bottles and the water is much cleaner and healthier (I add mineral drops to make it perfect). I am sensitive to Chlorine and Fluoride so zerowater makes me feel much better.

Most bottled waters are not nearly as pure as zerowater and contain chlorine, fluoride, or some of both. Lots of companies even add the fluoride after getting it clean. Maybe some people want it, but I don't. Of course bottles are a bad solution anyways, since the plastic chemicals can get into the water, and the bottles themselves create a lot of waste.

Not everyone needs to avoid chemicals in their water like I do, but everyone can enjoy drinking clean water. With this dispenser you can even cook with clean water. I drink the water cold, heat it in my electric kettle for tea, and make soup, all with perfectly pure water.

Just as a note, another reviewer mentioned using a PH test kit for a swimming pool. That test is not useful for drinking water. Typically pure water has a PH of 7, while your pool should be more alkaline (7.2 - 7.8 usually). So, an "acidic" result actually is further proof that the water is pure and below the test kit's range. Tap water tests more alkaline due to dissolved salts/minerals as well as chlorine, fluoride, etc. Because PH is a logarithmic scale, it would be completely normal to require large quantities of more alkaline water to raise the PH of pure water into the range of tap water or pool water.

I am a very happy Zero Water customer. My family and I love the taste of the water and since it comes out of a blue pitcher we all call it "blue water". The water is great tasting, and according to the water tester included, the cleanest water as well. You cant beat zero! We were so happy with the pitcher we just upgraded to the new 23 cup version. We now can enjoy the great taste and do not have to fill the pitcher as often. The spout on the new pitcher allows us to pour the water and not have to take the pitcher out of the refrigerator.
Zero Water has enabled my whole family to drink more water. We save money over bottled water. We help the environment by not using the plastic bottles and even save money. When the water starts to taste poorly, we know it is time to change the filter. For some reason when the filter goes bad, you know its time. This beats the other products when you have no idea when to change the filters.

I did quite a bit of research before purchasing the ZeroWater ZD-023 Dispenser/ Filtration System. After 6 weeks of use, it performs like a champ, and I'm still on the first filter. I'd guess I've filtered something like 30 gallons, and it still reads 000 ppm on the included TDS meter. My water is from a private domestic well, untreated, and meters on average 220 from the tap.

I compared bottled water from the supermarket. Their "spring water" metered at 065, the store "distilled" at 008. Nearby distributed water system treated water metered at 280. A local business imports their water in large jugs, and they allowed me to check it. "Drinking water" metered at 070; reverse osmosis distilled at 002.

Minimum EPA standards are 500 ppm; New Mexico state requires no more than 1000.

So there are some baselines. My ZeroWater system performed very well. The taste is fine.

The most negative review here didn't mention quality of incoming water, so I found it less than helpful.

Pros of the ZeroWater unit:
* A limited-time $15 rebate made the larger unit far cheaper than the pitcher. Plus, nothing on Target's shelves (sorry, Amazon, this time I wanted to actually see and compare products) could match the price.
* Quality of water after filtration, as mentioned.
* A helpful 1-800-503-2939 customer service number. Two of my questions were answered in short order.
* I was told all ZeroWater units take the same filter, so the part interchangeability is a plus.
* Small numbers of filters run about $15 each. A gallon of store distilled runs about 96 cents with tax. With that math, the ZeroWater filter pays for itself at about a 16 gallon breakeven. I would guess you'd get at least 50% more from the filter, depending on your water, effectively bringing cost down down to 64 cents in this scenario.
* The ZeroWater convenience factor is harder to measure. Put it this way: a gallon of water weighs about 8.3 pounds. Do you really enjoy hauling that from store to car, then car into home?
* ZeroWater encourages recycling. There's a form on their website which you can print out, enclose with your shipped-back filter, which will then give you $10 toward purchase of other ZeroWater products. This includes new filters, of course. Your shipping cost is more than covered.
* In winter, I use a fair amount of water in a vaporizer. In this application, using distilled water keeps the vaporizer clean, and avoids the need for de-scaling/ cleaning with the toxic chemicals the manufacturer recommends.

Possible cons:
* The spigot is a spring-operated design with an O-ring seal. I would guess this would be the only part which might fail, possibly creating a leak. However, I would also guess the spigot could be replaced a a reasonable cost from ZeroWater.

I highly recommend this product. I have yet to be disappointed with any of its features.

We have used a Hot Shot for many years, replacing the first two because they eventually stopped heating water sufficiently (only up to 160 degrees F). Since they had become a mainstay in our kitchen, used several times a day, we were eager to replace the last one, and ordered the sleek new black model, which is of a somewhat different design than the original.

The first one we received from Amazon leaked considerably if we didn't use up all the water that had been heated, so we sent it back (Amazon paid for the entire return postage and sent us a new one at no extra cost). The second one leaked just like the first one, through the dispenser spout, when water was left to sit in the heating chamber. We never had this problem with the older model.

I am giving it two stars instead of only one, since some people may not mind being sure to empty the heating chamber after each use. (If it didn't leak, I would give it 4 stars -- and 5 stars, if it were also tall enough to accomodate taller cups).

I've used a Hot Shot a whole lot for heating up water for drinking various types of tea and other beverages. If it's right for what you're brewing, it really is a great product--the water is heated within a minute or two, which is way faster than a kettle, and it holds the perfect amount for a large mug.

There are a couple things to note though. Like other reviewers have said, because of the product's design, some taller mugs (especially large vacuum-sealed caddy mugs) won't fit in to receive the water, so you either can't use them or have to dispense the water into another container first and pour it from there. Also, you definitely should empty the excess water after you're done--you might even want to open the lid while it's still warm to let the extra moisture evaporate. This is because the inside is metal, and re-re-reheated water that's been sitting in there gets a bit gross and might not be the healthiest.

The last issue, which affects me more than it may others, is that the Hot Shot heats the water to boiling or very near to boiling. This is great if you're drinking black tea, hot chocolate, or hot cider, but if you're drinking green tea (which takes hot water that is well below boiling), the water from the Hot Shot can be too hot and make the tea bitter. If it's right for the beverage you want to make, though, I can't recommend a more convenient or quick option.

I have a Crosshair III Formula MB with a AMD Phenom II 965X4 BE 140w CPU.Starting my computer my CPU temp would be 32c after a few minutes it would raise to 45c doing normal things like playing music and surfing the net. I couldn't play games like Call Of Duty Modern warfare 2 or Battlefield Bad Company 2 without the CPU overheating past 60c in a matter of minutes. If I tried to run Prime95 it would overheat my CPU in a matter of seconds.

I install the H70 in about an hour,luckly I watched the video a while back on installing the H50 because the instructions for this thing are useless! Starting my computer for the first time it was at 32c after about 5 minutes it when to 34c. I started checking everything because this thing has never ran this cool. I ran prime95 about 45 minutes and the top temp was 45c(what? that's what I use to idle at). I went back to music and this review while running Spybot S&D and I'm at 37c.

I would have given this product only 4 stars because of the poor installation instructions but I'm so darn happy with the performance that I have to give it 5 stars. The instructions say to set the fans to draw in cool air from outside the case but that can cause a rise in temps for your other chip sets I have mine set as exhaust. Make sure you have room for this because the radiator is twice as thick as the H50.

I received and installed this H70 a couple days ago. I live in the tropics, with no air conditioning, so environmental temperature is usually around 30 C. When my comp was working hard with some games, it easily hit 60 and even 70C. So obviously I needed a good cooling solution.

Pros:

Modular design that will fit all major Intel/AMD socket types with ease.
Fairly simple installation.
Clear installation instructions.

Cons:

****The H70 might be too big for your current case****
Tubing to and from the radiator is not very flexible, limiting your possible configurations.
Difficulty installing the heavy radiator in between two fans then mounting on the case, all with one screw.

Firstly you MUST make sure that your case is big enough for this device. The 12 cm fan is too big for smaller tower cases, as I found out too late. Fortunately I had an older spare case lying around.

Secondly, you must be confident enough to take apart a computer and put it back together again, since you will need to mount a bracket UNDERNEATH the motherboard. While Corsair sells a case with an access hatch for this, usually a "standard" cheap computer case will not. Therefore you will have to disconnect the power supply, drives, and memory, unscrew the motherboard from the case and take it out, remove the standard CPU fan without damaging the CPU, mount a bracket (supplied) underneath, clean the old thermal paste, reinstall and reconnect the motherboard, power supply, memory and drives.

If you don't know how to do this, or are afraid to do this, get someone who knows what they are doing to help you. If you regularly build your own systems, this should be a breeze.

Unfortunately the radiator unit is "heavy" - which is to be expected because it's filled with water. However this made me really nervous since the length of the cooling pipes is rather short and the pipes are rather stiff. So at some point you end up with the radiator in one hand while you're trying to fit the water pump/cooling unit on top of the CPU one-handed without breaking anything. Or if you do it the other way and fix the radiator to the chassis first you are struggling with stiff pipes and very little room. This is an observation - I would rather have stiff, leak-proof pipes than flexible leaky pipes! I still rate this device 5/5 but installation is tricky.

Another observation - the heavy, thick radiator is sandwiched between two fans, and screwed to the back side of the case. For some reason you have to use one set of screws that go from outside the case, through holes in one fan, and into the radiator. While this is not impossible it's a pain in the ....., especially when you "forget" to plug in one of the motherboard's power cables (that happens to be just under the radiator, and thus inaccessible). Mounting/dismounting/re-mounting is a pain under this set up. Surely it can't be that hard to engineer a "snap on" method for mounting the fans to the radiator? Then you'd just need one set of screws, and not two.

That said - despite its size and the need to absolutely make sure you have the right case, this cooling system delivers. My computer runs 30 whole degrees cooler under full load. Overclocking for me used to be out of the question - now I get 58C under load. At regular speed (which is where I run), I am at a cool 38C with no load ( just fractionally above room temp.), and 42C under load. Finally I don't have to panic and think that my chip will soon fry due to thermal damage.

Well worth the price for your serious cooling needs!!!

Pros:
Water, quiet with Asus Q-fan, de-clutters case, it's from Corsair and a 2 year warranty (pump goes, they'll replace the unit).

Cons:
Price, bought this on Amazon, and it was still $100+ and tax, but it's that expensive plus some everywhere.
Maybe the size, but the air coolers that beat it are insanely huge and heavy and leave all that hot air in your case.
Kind of vague instructions but I did read/ watch many reviews which helped with installation.

This keeps my system and CPU really cool, I installed it to exhaust air as I have 2 GTX 260s in SLI and they really warm up the case (Antec P-160). With this installed my case temps dropped by over 20 F. My 1055T is right above ambient at idle even with OC and never gets over 120 F with SETI, Rosetta and Folding@home. I have Asus Q control set to performance and you can't really hear this even when running at 1900 rpm. Despite what the other posts say, this is quiet compared to all the other noise makers in my case. Between the SLI video cards and my front 120mm, side 170mm, the hard drives and the fan in my room, you can't hear it even at 1900 rpm. Not to mention you should be listening to music, gaming or something anyway. This also gives me so much more room in the case. If your going for a silent PC, this isn't for you.

The room this freed up is great and the case airflow is significantly improved. No more reaching under a monster air cooler to add ram or hook up fan leads, this occupies the back of the case leaving the middle and front clear.

If you can't read the specs from Corsair's site take a 120mm fan, put it 4" from the back of the case and see if anything is in the way and you'll know if it will fit. Install the radiator before you install the pump, you won't have to find a safe spot for all of that weight while tightening down the pump/heatsink. This is easier than people make it sound, put the 1st fan on the radiator with supplied screws then mount the 2nd to the case loosely with a few screws, line it up and get one started and then do the other 3.

Install it in exhaust mode, all of the reviews and my personal experience say that it cools much more effectively that way, hot air OUT, it's simple.

Read the specs! Read site reviews! Use a tape measure to make sure it will fit, I have a mid tower, no problems with clearance, but I checked first!

I have been on a mission to find a cooler that does not leak. After purchasing 2 coolers within a month's time, both different brands, I decided to try my luck with the Igloo. It's terrible. The lid does not screw on, it's a pressure fit. I knew this when I bought it. The carry-handle helps to keep the lid in place. Although there is no problem with the lid coming off, it leaks everywhere around the rim when you transport it. I found this out the hard way when I filled it with Kool-Aid and ended up with a car mat soaked with red KoolAid! This is by far the worst of the 3 coolers that I have tried. The first one was a 2 gallon Rubbermaid (leaks around the rim) and the second was a 2 gallon stackable Coleman cooler (leaks around spout). If anybody can recommend a cooler that does NOT leak, I'm all ears!

This is a great little cooler. I have used it for a 10 person team in a hot climate. I fill it completely with ice and then fill it with water. It will keep ice water for two whole days and even a little into the third day then I need to start over. The lid does not screw on it is pressure fit. Don't forget to order a paper cup holder if you are using it as I am for a crew. There is a holder grip on the side but the cups and holders are sold separately. Highly recommended.
