My H990 also leaked, twice in fact. The first time I took it apart it was one of the nuts was loose (for no apparent reason), the second time the plastic element holder was leaking. I took the whoel thing apart several times before I squirted silicon around all of the openings and sealed the lot – absolutely no problems now.

My second In-sinkerator now leaks after 2 + years
When we did a kitchen remodel in 1993, we installed a very expensive hot pot unit we purchased from a specialty kitchen supply.

insta hot water
Its gets hot but not enough to fill a large pot though.
Great for hot tea and hot chocolate.
